Let there be more light! This is the name of one of my favorite songs by Pink Floyd, from their second studio album. When I listen to it, I imagine rising up into the sky toward a brilliant sun, which is why I’ve named this stone the way that I have. It looks to me like rain clouds are parting ways for the sun’s rays.

This stone was made 2 1/2 years ago and I’ve been holding onto it for a special occasion. Well, I moved to Akron in early 2001 and have lived in the Valley for the past 8 of those nearly 25 years. Next Friday, I move away and when I return to hike, I will simply be a visitor. All things must pass. I know this, but it still makes me sad.

Location
Cuyahoga National Park, underneath the wheel of a run down wagon.

Me and my friends were hiking and went off path when we saw this wagon, and I discovered this stone while looking around the wagon.

It was a really cool discovery and I’d love to track this stones journey.
